MWA Mac HICA E3071 is a cobalt based welding rod which combats all 4 elements of wear including heating, corrosion, impact & abrasion. E3071 / Stellite 1 is most appropriate when the most predominant wear element is abrasion. It is excellent for rebuilding corners with minimum base metal dilution. The advantages of this rod including its ability to overlay extensive areas without cracking and its ability to retain its hardness even at high temperatures. The produced welds are non machinable.
