Product Description
The Oxford Cutmaker 751 Plasma Cutter delivers exceptional cutting performance on all metals. Our design ensures a tightly constricted arc, minimizing kerf width and maximizing cut capacity and speed, resulting in a very straight, clean cut with minimal dross. Even on thick materials such as 30 or 40mm, the cut will be clean and nearly perfectly straight. Compared to low-cost imported plasma cutters, the performance difference is astounding. Compared to oxy-fuel (gas bottles), the cutting speed is over five times faster, and operating costs are reduced by around 90%, all while providing superior cut quality.
All hand torches are fitted with drag cutting parts, making it the easiest and neatest option for hand plasma cutting. This design offers better access than other plasma torch designs and allows you to follow straight edges or templates with ease. Additionally, a range of extended consumables is available for those tight, tricky jobs. For cutting below 50A, tip contact cutting is also possible, allowing for even more precision and visual access to the cutting point.
CUTMAKER models can cut the thinnest metals with absolute precision, with smaller models using the P75 torch working exceptionally well from 0.5mm upwards. Models fitted with the P130 can use optional 'fine cut' consumables for similar results. Mechanized cutting performance is outstanding; just plug in our P75M or P130M machine torch, fit the CPC connector, and you're ready to use on cutting tables, straight line cutters, robots, etc. The CNC interface uses the same wiring as US-made machines, with a start signal, OK-to-move contact, and adjustable divided arc volts. This compatibility extends to all known cutting tables and THC systems.
Thermal Gouging
These models provide excellent gouging performance, from small light jobs to the heaviest plate. The arc stretch is unbeatable, giving smoother finishes and better control. They can remove welds, wear plates, create weld preps, and more. They are also suitable for automated gouging with robots or Gullco carriages and tractors. To gouge, simply replace the tip and shield with gouge parts and reduce air pressure by around 1 bar.
Metal Marking
Our metal marking function allows fast, clean marking of metals for both automated and manual use. You can mark drill points, fold marks, add your logo, date code, ID, etc. Unlike competitors’ products, we use standard cut consumables, allowing you to switch from cutting to marking in seconds.
Thermal Heating
This feature provides a fast source of direct heat for manual use, primarily for removing seized nuts, bearings, and light preheating jobs. It offers an output of 1.8kW / 2.7kW of intense instant heat, much hotter than propane or butane torches. The heat is more direct and controllable, heating only the item you need while the torch cooling air keeps everything else at a low temperature. For example, when removing seized nuts, propane torches tend to heat both the nut and bolt, but Cutmaker plasmas can heat the nut while keeping the bolt relatively cool, allowing quicker removal.
Typical times to heat nuts to cherry red are as follows:
- M5: 3 seconds
- M6: 5 seconds
- M8: 8 seconds
- M10: 14 seconds
- M12: 20 seconds
Additionally, the thermal heating function can be used to bend plastic parts or for plastic welding. Thermal heating can be performed with cutting consumables for a tight heat focus or gouging parts for a softer, wider arc.
