The Mac Nicro E215 is a highly alloyed versatile nickel based welding rod; it was specially formulated to withstand high temperature and to provide good resistance to corrosion and therma shock. It has a very smooth arc and produces very little spatter; the slag is also easily detachable. This electrode work hardens under impact and the welds are fully machinable. It is commonly used in the drop forging industry for the protection of dies. Another common use is in the checmical industry where high resistance to corrosion is required, particularly where wet chlorine gas or other strongly oxidising media is involved.
